Of Scots-British heritage, I've lived and worked in Switzerland and around the world for over 20 years.
I know the issues of international expat, Corporate, NGO, and nomadic lifestyles.
I'm a human being, just like you.
And I'm committed to supporting you, as soon as I can, however I can, to help with whatever issues you bring.
Relationship is our focus, and I work relationally and ethically through dialogue, with adults only.
Sometimes issues develop over a long time, sometimes triggered by traumatic events, and sometimes more recently through crisis.
We'll take whatever time you need to make sense of your life, experiences, and relationships, together, for something better.
This includes people who have experienced stress, anxiety, burnout, addiction, and social, sexual, or physical trauma, impairment and restriction in their own lives and/or a partner's.
Much of my other work has been with loneliness, self-worth, loss, and distress in personal and work life; divorce, separation, affairs, alienation, and isolation; especially in physical, sexual, emotional, or cultural separation - not feeling listened to, supported, or understood.
I'm a highly qualified and registered member of many counselling, therapy, and supervisory professional bodies, including BPS, BACP, COSCA, EMCC, and EAPA.
I work to their high ethical standards and professional codes of conduct.
I hold masters-level qualifications,
and many additional certifications, trainings and experiences in, for example: Individual and Couple Counselling and Psychotherapy (UK), Psychosexual, Psychosocial, Trauma, Mediation, and Process Supervision work.
All our work is held in professional confidentiality, from the very first contact you make.
If you identify with a medicalised, psychological, or psychiatric 'disorder', I understand that this may be helpful for you in making meaning of your situation. You are the expert by your experience.
In Swiss terms, I am a Psychological, Psychosocial, and Workplace Counsellor; UK terms, an independent private and EAP Counsellor and Psychotherapist;
USA terms, an 'out of network' Family and Workplace Counselor.
I accept referrals from GPs and Psychiatrists in my practice. I do not diagnose or prescribe medication.
If you are seeking to put a name to what troubles you, simply come along and we'll find the best way forward.
Our work is open, boundaried by the time and the space we work in, and we'll work with whatever you chose to bring.
That's our contract.
I consciously provide a physically, emotionally, and sexually safe space for you. You are always in charge and always hold the choice.
As part of my ethical approach, I do not support third-party 'interventions' on behalf of someone else, nor do I take part in 'conversion' therapy.
I am pleased to welcome positively and supportively anyone who, at whatever adult life stage, faces relationship challenges in living with gender fluidity, sexual experience, or exploration.
My aim is to help you work with you, in your life choices, to find the best way to help in what troubles you.
For your confidentiality, I do not advertise my location on the Web.
I will send you full details after booking.
Get in touch, and tell me about what's happening for you.
Together, we'll find a way through for you.
